It was great to recently meet Karen and Natalie from One Wirral CIC to discuss this Labour Government’s newly published National Cancer Plan. This plan creates an important opportunity to highlight the work already happening here in Wirral to improve cancer care. Hearing some of the deeply personal and harrowing stories was a powerful reminder of just how urgent and necessary this work is.

🚨Update on Hoylake Beach👇 I am pleased to see work begin on delivering the Beach Management Plan. This plan will see the removal of some vegetation to improve RNLI access, as well as clearing the slipways and other access points to the beach. I have met with Natural England, Wirral Council, and local councillors to encourage everyone to work together to reach a positive outcome on this. I have worked to impress on decision makers the importance of reaching a conclusion that reflects the views of our community.

Following the antisemitic stabbing of two Jewish people on the streets of Golders Green this morning, words of condemnation are no longer sufficient. This must be a moment that demands meaningful action from every institution, every community, every leader, and every decent person in our country. This is a hatred that we must face down together.

The Jewish community is being terrorised. I believe mainstream British society stands with us against these cowardly racist attacks. I’m grateful for the messages of support. Tackling this hatred is on all of us. As scary as it is right now, we will fight it and we will win.

The recent attacks targeting Jewish communities are appalling. We're working closely with the police, security services and CST to protect our Jewish communities, disrupt extremist threats and bring those responsible to justice. We must defeat the poison of antisemitism. The Britain that I want is a Britain where people can practice their religion, their faith, in safety and security.

I’ve never been so shocked and disgusted by a Labour Party election broadcast. No wonder it has been censored. It’s because we didn’t use our own words - just those of Reform UK politicians. It needs to be watched and shared so that people know who and what they’re voting for.

It was a good day to do a deal - a £50m deal for Northern Ireland. More jobs, better security and stronger supply chains. ✅
