Today we're launching Claude for Teachers -- premium @claudeai and Cowork, free for every US teacher. Teachers have been experimenting with AI for a while. But they told us they wanted something curriculum-aligned, evidence-based, and able to work in the background while they focus on their students. Four things that I think make this special:

@NIftek This is what education can do to help prepare young people for the future. Communication has always been important, now just in a different way. Teach children to communicate, with other humans and with machines.

Agentic development is a communication skill - the better you are at communicating, the better you will be at building 🤯

"There's so many of these problems that we experience as women that we're like, I wish an app existed like this, but a man would never think to build an app like that." "Women are going to dominate this app space and men should prepare for that, because women dominate distribution."

@KevinBlumson You’re absolutely right, that’s the kind of thinking that matters in the real world. I would hire someone like him on the spot for his analytical skills! 👏 I also have adhd (late diagnosed) and can understand his frustration but he is so lucky to have you as his father!

Lol my son had a math problem at school about a plane, how much fuel it had at take-off, burn rate per mile, etc. Something like that, typical worded problem solving. Except he quite likes aviation and knew the actual max fuel capacity of that plane, which was quite different to what the question had. Then he worked out passenger weight based on every seat being full at an average adult weight, plus the luggage allowance, and calculated the plane wouldn't even be able to take off with the fuel stated in the question! My son is ADHD, so he couldn't just let it go - he had to address (prove) the flaw in the question, rather than just crunch the numbers he was given. So he would definitely challenge the "but why would Nadia have so many bananas" math problem 😀 but I'm proud of him for that. He might fail the test, which is annoying, but he will do well with that mentality in the world of work.

Nadia has 6 bags of 6 bananas - how many bananas does she have in all? 🍌(true story!) This is how I turned a funny grocery mishap into an email that converted several subscribers into paying customers AND got me one of my earliest paid school districts.
