A limited number of coastal recreational bathing beaches remain open for swimming. We encourage beachgoers to contact the local municipality for details on lifeguard availability at specific locations. All beaches staffed with lifeguards are currently open.

Environmental Coastal Monitoring Network stations were sampled today for the final time this season. Results will be available tomorrow afternoon. These stations are in areas where primary recreational activities occur but aren't regulated as official bathing beaches.

Today's coastal surveillance flight covered Barnegat Bay, Raritan Bay, and Sandy Hook Bay before heading south along the coast to Little Egg Inlet. Water conditions appeared good. Baitfish were observed sporadically along the coast.

The advisories will remain until additional sample results are back within standard. The last monitoring date for these environmental coastal monitoring stations is Tuesday, September 16th with results available, Wednesday, September 17th.
