I much prefer being known as a Cheerleader of the art world than just a collector. An excerpt from an article in The Hindu on Sunday 16th July. #supportlivingartists

Explore diverse artists from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East at TheUpsideSpace. Delve into the captivating stories behind their work and the contextual inspirations that shape their artistic journeys. Bakery Prasad a.k.a Siddhesh Gautham (@siddheshgautam) is a multi-disciplinary, mixed-media artist and designer based out of Delhi. Prasad’s current work is focussed on the visual documentation of the anti-caste movement. In his series, ‘Yes, we existed. Yes, we exist’ the artist does important work in portraying narratives that commemorate central figures from Dalit and Bahujan communities. ‘Ambedkar: The Struggle for Humanity’ derives from the artists’ introduction to B.R Ambedkar as a child and the stories his father recited about young Ambedkar. The artist also narrates how his relationship with the figure evolved as waves of dissent in the country strengthened. Swiftly, 'Ambedkar' transformed into 'Babasaheb' for the artist - a common endearment used to address the visionary. ‘Periyar: Synonym to Revolution’, another creation by Prasad, chronicles his visit to Kashi, unveiling reflections on religiosity versus spirituality and his subsequent deepening affinity towards the latter. During his visit, the artist was reading up on Periyar - an important figure in the anti-Dravidian movement, which serves as the backdrop to his revelations. Nik Kalyani - Freedom for Iran
The plot thickens... Goal: Set my twitter pfp to NFT artworks I own to promote artists Problem: For Blue subscribers, a review that could take days/weeks is required when you change pfp Action: Blue subscription now canceled Result: Still requires a review 🤬🤬

I love art because artists are always using is to talk about the world around us. Art truly is a marker of our history & times. This work by Harsimran Juneja titled ‘Eavesdropping’, is part of an exhibition Mobocracy x Democracy on @TheUpsideSpace website. A must see online show.

(1/5) If you’ve watched ‘Afwaah’ by Sudhir Mishra, the Indian film that describes the dangers of rumor-mongering, you would relate to ‘Eavesdropping,’ which explores a similar theme. #NFTCommunity #TUS #web3community #NFTartist

The government cannot continue to make arguments denying adoption, denying surrogacy, denying protections, denying legitimacy to LGBTQ+ couples and then claim that a "committee will be set up to look into concerns." We all know, then, that this committee will go nowhere.
