2). I proudly proclaimed that I wanted to be a lawyer and have lots shoes, that was my answer because I came to her with 1 1/2 pairs of shoes, the 1/2 being the one shoe that I had lost in a homeless shelter.

1). When I was ten years old, I got off a Greyhound bus to go live with my grandmother after experiencing homelessness for several months. My grandmother looked at me and asked me what I wanted to do with my life.
