@twinkjodie I’m afraid I disagree. I was very excited when he came back. However during his hiatus he forgot everything that made his early seasons amazing. He decided that Dr Who should be Queer as Folk meets The Chuckle Brothers. It has become discordant, inauthentic and boring.

i think rtd returning has breathed new life into a franchise that was on its last legs. a lot of the issues are down to executive meddling rather than the creative side of things. i can't wait for david tennant to return in the christmas special
