It was fantastic to see Sleaford's new narrowboat placed into the Slea today. It will enable people to experience the historic Slea Navigation & pays tribute itself to local history. For now, it will remain moored securely while the fit-out takes place: orlo.uk/rk1Xs

We've lots of units for growing businesses - like Phoenix Kitchens in Metheringham. The kitchens maker and retailer opened a showroom at our Scoley Court park, creating 2 new jobs, and is taking a 4th unit there. Great to visit them yesterday: orlo.uk/szCdJ @bankslongco

Since March '22 almost 180 Ukrainians have made #NK their temporary home & 1,200 in total across #Lincs under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. The event saw more than 50 pairs of worn (and some unworn) shoes donated as a symbol of the journeys millions of ordinary people have been on. You can still take part by bringing shoes for donation and onward use to the @hubsleaford this weekend.

Yesterday in the Council courtyard we paused and reflected in advance of #HolocaustMemorialDay today, with the placing of shoes and lighting of candles. We spoke together of the Holocaust and the too numerous other genocides that have subsequently taken place.
