Learners from Bellshill Ourspace group enjoyed a taster session about AI to celebrate Safer Internet Day. We looked at how AI is used right now, how it can support everyday tasks, and staying safe while using AI. We all now feel more likely to use AI at home! #SaferInternetDay

Our digital skills groups have explored Safer Internet Day this week,from online safety to the rise of AI. Learners tried tools like ChatGPT and apps like Seeing AI, discovering how helpful (and creative!) AI can be.We also learned to spot risks like deepfakes. #saferinternetday

Our Digital Skills group at Abronhill have been learning about how we can tell if digital information is reliable or not. We used our internet skills to search for different pieces of information and looked through some websites to decide if we thought they were reliable or not.

Learners, volunteers & staff from across CLD arrived in Ireland to participate in a Scottish Educational Exchange Programme Test & Learn Project focusing on literacy learning. Today they met staff from SOLAS to hear about the Adult Literacy for Life Strategy #AdultLearningMatters

To finish our term at the Shotts IT group, we used our digital skills to create a Christmas themed WordArt. Most of us had never done one before but had seen them and wanted to know how to make our own, so now we know! We are a creative bunch! #becauseofCLD #adultlearningmatters

Well done to Abronhill Digital Skills group who completed an SQA assessment on the last day of term! The group have learned lots about using devices, improving everyone's daily use of their phones. Everyone is looking forward to continuing SQA Digital Basics in the New Year!
