Did you know about this figure from NLS's history? Wendell G. Freeland (1925–2014) was a pioneering Pittsburgh civil rights attorney, and the first president of Neighborhood Legal Services!

Did you know about this figure from NLS's history? Health Law Pioneer and Civil Rights Activist, Eric Springer (1929-2020) was one of the original incorporators of Neighborhood Legal Services and was the first Black President of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
