Every year, on May 22nd, we celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity. On this date, back in 1992, the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) was adopted. #togetherforbiodiversity

A mission to Isiolo county last week brought together two NL funded programs active in the county; RVO locally led program (RtF), and EKN market systems development program (RANGE). A lot of valuable insights came from this visit.

Meet Dorin Joy Nyawira Gicuku. Joy joined the embassy team as the Residence and Private Chef to the Ambassador. Her role keeps her in the heart of a fast-paced commercial kitchen, where she plans and prepares meals for the Ambassador and guests at the residence! Karibu sana Joy!

On Friday 15 May 2026, we proudly celebrated an incredible milestone! 25 years of dedicated service by our wonderful colleagues Christine, Jaco, Maxi, and Arine. Surrounded by colleagues at the Embassy, the celebration at the beautiful @VRKempinski was truly memorable.

Liberation Day🇳🇱: Today, we celebrate🎉 the absence of war 🕊️, the restoration of the constitutional state after the Second World War and the fact that it enables us to live in freedom.

Today, we remember all – civilians and soldiers – who have been killed in the 🇳🇱Kingdom of the Netherlands or anywhere else in the world in war situations or during peacekeeping operations since the outbreak of the Second World War.’ At 8pm, we observe two minutes of silence.
