🧠🐝Meet the Scientist🧠🐝 My name is Aleyah Goins, and I am a neuroscientist! I study chronic pain and investigate safe ways to help people feel better. When I am not in lab, I love going to the outdoors and spending time with animals.

I graduated from UNM with my B.A. in psychology in 2020 and have been working in research ever since. When I'm not working I can usually be found reading and drinking coffee! My favorite author is Jane Austen and my favorite drink is a caramel macchiato from Starbucks!

there are different models of how the brain responds to rhythmic input, 1) by adjusting an intrinsic oscillator or 2) by a series of evoked responses. adjusting the input rate, the 2 models have different properties, exhibiting a constant or variable phase shift to the input.
