@NN99c @FinPlanKaluAja1 Here I am thinking you've got a valid reason for made in Nigeria drugs
English

1. Drink water, put a bottle by your bedside, drink when you wake
2. Ask your friend abroad to buy your multi-vitamins. Take them daily
3. Stop taking soda and “juice”, eat the fruit with the pulp, chew an orange, don't drink orange juice.
4. Slow down on the carbs, garri, jollef and amala, and do more protein. Termites are high in protein if you can't afford beef. ( I didn't stutter)
5. Sleep longer, weekends are for sleep, not just parties and watching football.
6. Take your holidays, do not exchange them for cash and work all year round. Go to a village or slow area for a holiday once in a while to decouple. Travelling to the UK or Dubai to shop in malls and eat a burger is not a holiday
7. Slow down on salt and sugar, think more of ginger and turmeric
8. Eat suya, eat the vegetables, onions and tomatoes too, all join
9. Slow down on white bread, pasta, etc. Brown rice 👍 is Ofada rice brown? Does anyone know?
10. Have sex regularly. A blow job is not sex
11. Stretch, walk, move. Yoga is good.
12. Be happy, watch comedies, laugh
13. Have an emergency fund. Looking for urgent N10,000 on “Tuesday” will cause hypertension faster than salt.
14. Buy a plant, have a garden, sha touch soil once in a while
15. Be careful with the news you listen to, don't be naive, but don't dwell in the comfort of mockers
16. Fall in love, not mandatory but recommended. Yes, you can love the company of someone, all join.
17. Use deodorant, not Antiperspirants.
18. Guys, change your boxers daily, even if they do not smell. A beard has to be combed and maintained. It's not fallow land
19. Ladies, you also look beautiful without a wig or nail extensions, plus you save money 😉
20. Don't bleach your skin
This is financial advice

@enkayblaze @Okwabani @FinPlanKaluAja1 You folks have a Nigerian problem.
No problem. I will avoid everything Nigerian going-forward, including your Nigerian brains.
Find a reputable Nigerian pharmacy to get your imported drugs from.
English

@Okwabani @NN99c @FinPlanKaluAja1 They are better. The fake drugs no be here. The difference is clear.
English

@FinPlanKaluAja1 You should encourage/support Nigerian pharmacies.
Telling people to buy ordinary "multi vitamins" (not cancer drug ó) from the abroad is hitting Naija below the belt.

Not necessarily. If I were to go by this, attending mass only once per year is acceptable.
Fourth Lateran Council (1215)
Canon 21 — Omnis utriusque sexus
"Every faithful Christian, after reaching the age of discretion, must confess sins at least once a year and receive Holy Communion at least at Easter."
1983 Code — Canon 920:
“After being initiated into the Most Holy Eucharist, each of the faithful is obliged to receive Holy Communion at least once a year.”
English

@NN99c @FrEvaristus Well according to the tradition of the mass
A mass is a sacrifice offered, on the alter of God, where bread and wine is converted to body and blood of Jesus Christ. Without the Eucharist it’s not a mass it’s just a service

One thing we learned in school is that we cannot argue with religious experience because it is subjective. So this lady may be speaking her truth. There may or may not be others in the parish who feel the same way.
In actual fact, Protestant or Pentecostal churches place more emphasis on preaching the Word as their way of worship than the Catholic Church does. Holy Communion is not observed every Sunday in most of those churches; a two-hour service might focus solely on the Word. In the Catholic Church, worship is divided principally into two segments: the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist (Holy Communion). Most Catholics have grown up being satisfied with the nourishment that comes from the brief sermons and the Holy Communion they receive each time they go to church. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Catholic faith. Lengthy preaching is not really a feature of the Catholic Church except during retreats and other programmes. Nevertheless, each priest should prepare prayerfully for the sermon no matter how brief it is. He should speak to the soul and spirit of the person, and this can only be done with the unction that comes from the Holy Spirit.
Catholics generally are not critical of their priests’ sermons, knowing they will be nourished anyway by the Eucharist. But sometimes you have someone who is thirsting for more, like this lady. Under such circumstances, because she would already have developed a mindset, it would be difficult to satisfy her inner yearning.
She could read the scripture readings in advance, maybe even listen to some sermons on YouTube before going to church. But I think what she has done, if in good faith, is enough to awaken her priests if they had started taking things for granted.
I agree there is a lot we still have to do as priests. But comparison does not help, and often it becomes like a situation where a woman is fed up with her husband and gets irritated by every little thing he does.

Coming back from church and I feel like my spirit was not fed today, honestly the gospel in catholic doesn’t cut it for me. Catholic priests should go for pastoral teachings to learn how to dissect the Bible inorder to satisfy their parishioners spiritually”— Catholic Lady bares her heart

@Mufas001 @FrEvaristus 1983 Code — Canon 920:
“After being initiated into the Most Holy Eucharist, each of the faithful is obliged to receive Holy Communion at least once a year.”
English

Does that imply weekly or daily? Often can be quarterly, yearly or monthly.
Fourth Lateran Council (1215)
Canon 21 — Omnis utriusque sexus
"Every faithful Christian, after reaching the age of discretion, must confess sins at least once a year and receive Holy Communion at least at Easter."
Medieval Catholic practice required it just once in a year.
English

Women think they "own" their children. Experience from family courts supports my claim. They are the ones always wanting "sole custody."
If you claim ownership over something (a child), be ready to accept most of the responsibility for how it (the child) eventually turns out.
You cannot eat your cake and have it.
English

@NN99c @SavvyRinu "Mother's need to raise their boys better"
Fathers nko? What do they need to do better? Aren't they called "parents" for a reason??
Isn't it a father's job to teach his son how to behave like a normal man should?? Or is he also jobless and a woman should be the head of the house?
English

@AnefuPeter @FrEvaristus Personal preference is okay. But you should not let people who want to do it only once a year feel bad about it.
English

@NN99c @FrEvaristus Yes, but "Do this in remembrance of me" sounds like I should prefer to do it everyday to remember the one in question. Instead of once a month or a quarter.
English

@FrEvaristus Competition go touch everybody in the end. Lol.
According to @FinPlanKaluAja1 we will learn economics together. Catholic priests should shape up.

There is a young lady whom I invite to take my blood samples and conduct tests for me when I suspect I might be falling ill.
I asked her which Mass she was attending on Sunday, and she bluntly told me she wasn’t going to church. When I asked why, she said she goes once a month because she gets shy when they call for the weekly offerings and she doesn’t have money. I told her not to let that hinder her, though she should always try her best. I tried to persuade her to start coming to my parish, but she said she was used to her own.
I spoke at length with her about Sabbath observance: how it was a major obligation in the Old Testament, sometimes punishable by death through stoning if one defied it. But as the Sabbath commemorated the old creation, the new dispensation commemorates our victory in Christ on Sunday, because Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week. I told her that the Sabbath obligation has been transferred to Sunday and that one commits a sin by missing church on Sunday without good reason. I left her with a final note that the things of God are to be done freely, and if she didn’t have money she shouldn’t feel pressured.
I wonder how many are staying away from church because of the various collections.

@EudaimoniaTech_ @SaraJane101 @LordVinci21 Many people eat all their food for the day within an eight-hour period.
I see no big deal in fasting from 6am to 6pm. That's a way of life, ordinarily, for many people.
English

@EudaimoniaTech_ @SaraJane101 @LordVinci21 It depends. I don't drink out of thirst per se, but out of a conscious need to save my kidneys from damage.
