In honor of National Stroke Awareness Month, New Orleans East Hospital welcomed members of our community this morning for a Stroke Seminar focused on education, prevention, and awareness. #StrokeAwarenessMonth

Friday was our NOEH Fest, a celebration for the incredible faculty and staff who make our hospital special. Team members and their families enjoyed an evening filled with food, games, cultural performances, costume contests, and time spent together outside of the workplace.

Our hospital received the Biggest Heart Award for having the largest percentage of staff contributions during this year’s United Way campaign. This year’s @LCMCHealth campaign raised over $92,000, and our team members played a major role in helping make that impact possible.

As Hospital Week continues, we took time to recognize the team members who have helped shape our story through years of service and commitment to our community. With this year’s theme inspired by a magical kingdom, we honored employees marking 5+ years with our hospital.

We celebrated earning an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for Spring 2026, marking our 2nd consecutive “A” designation. Our team gathered to recognize this accomplishment and the continued commitment to delivering safe, high quality care to our community.

Hospital Week is officially underway at New Orleans East Hospital. Team members kicked off the celebration with coffee, beignets, and a chance to write their wishes upon a star. A sweet start to a week dedicated to the people who help make this hospital feel special every day.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the bonds that make our hospital family feel like home. Featuring Rhonda Parker, Exec. Asst. to the CEO, and her son Chris Parker from LCMC Health IT Department, this moment highlights the care, love, and connection shared across generations.

Today the NODNA hosted the annual Crescent City Nurse Excellence Brunch. We are proud to celebrate CJ Marbley, CNO/COO of New Orleans East Hospital, on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. And congratulations to our fellow NOEH honorees recognized during today’s celebration.

Yesterday’s First Friday centered on women’s health and the energy showed up strong. Light exercise, info sessions, and screenings made it a day focused on showing up for yourself and your health. Thank you to everyone who came out and took that next step toward wellness.

Happy Birthday to Ronnie Burns, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. His leadership helped ensure that New Orleans East would once again have a hospital after Hurricane Katrina, a commitment that restored not just a building, but access, care, and confidence for our community.
