Reservoir Park is NOW OPEN and it’s beautiful! This 600+ acre oasis has been planned for water quality protection and to allow for more residents to enjoy access to recreational facilities. The park is open dawn to dusk and includes a welcome center, picnic pavilions, and more.

Show your LOVE for the @WODTrail! Remove invasives near the LOVE sign along the trail on Saturday, Sept. 21. You'll be preparing the site to plant a first-ever native meadow there as part of a joint project between @smattersva and @NOVA_Parks Register: bit.ly/3TA1Qtc

Wiehle Avenue Bridge (2 of 3). On Saturday, I visited this new bridge in Reston, VA that carries the W&OD Trail over Wiehle Avenue. It reminds us of the many improvements made to this Trail as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the W&OD Trail this year. @NOVA_Parks @WODTrail

@MatthewSadler_ Thanks for the feedback. We agree, the Overlook view is covered by trees now, but we hold the name of the park. We interpret this at the location of the Overlook. Hope to see you back soon to enjoy the park.

@TrekRef Thank you for reaching out. Safety is our #1 priority. We have contacted Luck Stone and they said they will investigate this incident to see what can be improved upon.

@NOVA_Parks Drove to the W&OD today for a traffic-free ride and was almost a fatality. Luck Stone Quarry was driving a truck on the trail. Never moved over or even slowed. I thought they’d stop when I approached but did not. Mirror missed my head by inches. I went to their gate and the passenger told me I should have bailed into the gravel. At speed. They are not good neighbors.
