May 13, 1958 -Stan “The Man” Musial wraps his 3,000th career hit – a single to left served up by another @NPASHF inductee, Moe Drabowsky. The ball is fielded by fellow Polish American Walt “Moose” Moryn, completing what Drabowsky would later refer to as “the Polish triangle.”

Tony Adamowicz was born on this date in 1941. Nicknamed “Tony A to Z,” Adamowicz won many auto racing titles during his career, including Trans Am Under 2 Liter, Formula 5000, and Ecuador 12 Hour. Adamowicz passed away in 2016, just months after being honored into the @NPASHF

April 29,1986-@UVAFootball offensive tackle Jim Dombrowski is the 6th overall pick in the 1986 @NFL Draft,after being selected in the First Round by the New Orleans Saints. The 6’5” 300 lb. lineman and @NPASHF inductee would go on to an outstanding 11 Year career with the @Saints

April 27, 2005 – @Cardinals second baseman & @NPASHF inductee Mark Grudzielanek leads off the St. Louis first inning with a home run, and then proceeds to hit for the cycle, as the Cardinals defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3.

@NPASHF Inductee Tom Lysiak was born this day in 1953. The 2nd overall pick in the 1973 NHL Draft, Tom would go on to an outstanding 13year @NHL career with the Atlanta Flames and @NHLBlackhawks. Much too soon, Tom passed away May 30, 2016.

April 18,1983-@NPASHF inductee Greg Meyer wins the @bostonmarathon with a time of 2:09.00. His Boston win would be his third major marathon victory, having previously won the Detroit Marathon (1980) and the Chicago Marathon (1982).

April 17, 1955 -- @NPASHF Inductee Steve Gromek tosses a seven-hit shutout, as the Tigers defeat the Kansas City A’s 16-0. Gromek strikes out 5 while walking just one K.C. batsman, and helps his own cause by going one-for-four at the plate.

Happy Birthday, Ted Kwalick! The @PennStateFball All-American was the 1st round pick of the @49ers in the 1969 NFL Draft, and went on to a nine-year @NFL career, highlighted by three Pro Bowl appearances. He was inducted into the @cfbhall in 1989 and the @NPASHF in 2005.
