I was into rewilding, long before the term was ever invented. I grew up in the English countryside, before there were generous EU subsidies for farming. There were many small abandoned paddocks, and other corners of agricultural land. Abandoned farms and houses. 1/🧵

If bird flu becomes transmissible between humans then we are facing another pandemic that will dwarf covid - it's death rate is believe to be between 50 - 60%. A sane civilisation would be focusing on what humans are doing to the planet - and not on gameshows and movies

@IrishRainforest 💚 We must all do everything within our power to protect such places. I no longer believe that humans can be saved from a self-inflicted apocalypse born of greed and wilful ignorance... but I do believe we can still ensure that all is not lost.
