@ProsperInAfrica The crux of the matter is not the timing of payment but rather that ZETDC needs to be empowered and enabled to honour the terms of its commercial agreements with IPPs.

Or it's because IPPs are not being paid for supplying power to the grid and/or on time just like Zupco drivers and farmers who sold maize to GMB. Are you being paid daily for the power you supply or you are paid when inflation has made your money worthless?

Though 6 858MW worth of licenses have been granted only 135MW is in operation. This is possibly a result of aspiring IPPs failing to reach financial close on proposed projects due to currency issues in Zimbabwe. #wecoulddomore #wecoulddomore #zimbabwe
