There are good and bad parts to the Dignity Act right now, but amendments could make it not only more palatable but effective. I've already sent a letter to @WhiteHouse with a detailed and comprehensive plan similar to this, hopefully the intern doesn't just skip it😅

My only concern would be that people would rush to get married and have kids (not the problem), but would only be doing it for the tax cut. Money shouldn't be the incentive for having kids, that's why the welfare situation in America is partially the way it is. Hopefully it works for them

Worshipping power is something to which all people are drawn. It is an ever-present temptation. Some people (like the Democrats) give in to it entirely. You can see the fruits of that.
But we shouldn't be complacent. Plenty of Republicans do the same thing. We must be on our guard, and never become that which we are fighting against "just to win."

You need to understand the Democrat mind. They don't care if the Southern Poverty Law Center committed wire fraud. They don't care if the SPLC made false official statements to the federal government. They don't care if the SPLC engaged in conspiracy to commit money laundering. They don't care because to them, the ends always justifies the means. Rank-and-file Democrats see the SPLC as being virtuous, so therefore they don't care about the crimes. The Democrat leadership sees the SPLC as one of the very most effective tools they have to achieve and maintain power, and since power is all they care about, they don't care about the crimes.

@RepLuna I knew a good chunk of Congress was a bunch of degenerates, but actually hearing some of their stories and then seeing them start to face consequences (not the full extent of the law yet, but it's a start) gives me a little hope. Thanks for being one of the good ones🫡

I have now heard of 4 women who have had multiple and uncomfortable/inappropriate advances/comments/touching, etc. from Senator Gallego. This is not made up and the Senate is being awfully quiet about it.

I feel like a lot of people (primarily lefties, but some on the right too) are fully sold believers of 'the ends justify the means'. For Dems, equity and their definition of justice is all that matters, and if reaching their ends means committing crimes and doing evil, then it's justifiable because "we're the good guys". But the minute you have to justify your actions like that instead of the actions speaking for themselves, you lose the moral high ground.
