The ignorance of rugby league fans lies within laying blame on Cleary. He was good. Walker was better. Neither were the major deciding factor in the result.

The Maroons forwards failed to stand up. They created 6.8m per carry and had just 381 PCM’s. Credit to the Blues for these statistics too. They came to play.

Serious questions need to be asked of the Maroons. They were the better team for majority of the series but fell at the final hurdle. How did they get it so wrong?!

Make no mistake, Billy was out coached by Laurie tonight. He rarely gets it wrong but he did tonight. The Maroons tactics were flat and they lacked the ability to build pressure.

Credit to the Blues. I did not see that result coming at any stage during this series.

In Game 1, there was a catalyst for a change in the game. Tonight, it was poor decisions off the field. How they got it so, so wrong is beyond me. Credit where credit is due also, the Maroons nailed this area of the match.
