Despity clearly not being fit for purpose yet, AI cameras continue being used to cover local football. As a result, big moments are not captured properly. This was Pasia John's goal against an Adelaide United's NPL side today. Hope you have a good imagination 🤦‍♂️

What Avondale has achieved with their growth & meteoric rise, & the constant investment in their facilities is to be commended, it arguably has no peer in VIC⚽️, however, the relocation of their temporary stand to make way for a new, permanent media tower, now means there are heavily restricted views from what should be “the best seats in the house”, see 👇. Perhaps it’s time they explore taking over Ironbark Fields (there were rumours during the period #TarneitFC neared extinction, granted the location is not ideal), however, it would allow them to keep Avenger Park as a high-performance training venue while giving them a match day facility they could upgrade & improve no? 🤔 #NPLMVIC #AusChampionship #AustraliaCup #MagicOfTheCup #DockertyCup #ALeague #ALM #ALW #Matildas #Socceroos #TilItsDone #DifferentBreed #ForeverGolden #FIFA

Football Victoria will continue with the random fixture draw in NPL Victoria for anther year. Missed opportunity to maximise crowds in the early months with warm weather. Instead will now be left to random chance. The fixture is a marketing tool! footballvictoria.com.au/news/2025-npl-…

The 2025 NPL campaign needs to see clubs who want in actually start doing things that aren’t business as usual. We need to see a runway. Seen nothing last two winters suggesting anything other than BAU. If it’s the same next season it’ll be the same for 2026. The random fixture draw employed in Victoria also needs to be binned. Since 2019, clubs don’t make requests and who plays who in which week is drawn out of a bowl. Some actual marketing and crowd maximisation needs to happen built particularly around Preston Lions’ drawing power. Preston/South/Knights/Heidelberg/Victory all need to maximise matches against each other in the warmer Feb-April months to get 2025 going with the biggest possible crowds. Weekly 5k+ will get the community hyped for NST.

Enjoying being back on the @nplvictoria livestreams. Never easy being on a shaky scissor lift so not my cleanest work but player knowledge always helps when it comes to identifying a goal scorer in scenes like this! Great to work alongside @neal_symons after last weeks’ 5-4.
