Congratulations to these 26 NS Band students for a great day at the MAC Conference Honor Band, held yesterday at Central DeWitt HS. 6 hours of rehearsal and a concert is a lot for one day, but they did a great job!

Just finished up a great couple days at the ISU Honor Band. These students worked so hard, and finished up the festival with a fantastic performance this afternoon. Way to go Matt, Joe, and Robert!

Congratulations to Sophia Popelka on a fantastic performance at the University of Iowa Double Reed day!

Proud of all of our students who auditioned for All-State today! Congratulations to Joe Drahozal who was accepted on trombone, and to Connor McMann who was selected as alternate on percussion! Way to go!

Awesome first rehearsal w/ the fresh & sophs! It’s SO good to see them all again & start talking about marching band! Thanks to our stellar section leaders who came in to help out, from greeting our new members at the door to helping out on the field- you all are the best!

Today's the day - enjoy every moment! We are immensely proud of this senior class for their perseverance and contributions. Seniors - THANK YOU for four outstanding years. We will miss you greatly, and can’t wait to see what your future has in store. Keep in touch!

Senior Spotlight: Delaney Norris. Delaney has been a member of the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band, & served as Public Relations chair on the NS Band Council. She is planning on attending the University of Iowa, and playing the clarinet in the Hawkeye Marching Band. Congrats Laney!

Senior Spotlight: Nolan Blodig. Nolan has been a 4-year member of Symphonic Band, 3-year member of Jazz 1, is a 2-year All-Stater, was selected to the SEIBA Honor Band & Jazz Band, & serves as Senior Class rep on the Band Council, among many other honors! Congratulations Nolan!

Senior Spotlight: Blake Tyler. Blake is a wonderful bass clarinet player who started out with the Concert Band and moved his way up into Symphonic Band. A 4-year member of the North Scott Bands, Blake is one of the nicest, most polite people you will ever know. Congrats Blake!

Senior Spotlight: Aiden Griffiths. Aiden has been a member of the Concert Band and Drum Line all four years. He is a sneaky-good bassoonist, and his cymbal moves are among the best we've seen! We'll miss his quirky, fun personality the most, and wish him the best. Congrats Aiden!
