Labour representatives speak following Clevedon South by-election win ift.tt/U0gDLfN

Thank you @FullFact for bringing attention to this misleading tactic. It’s time for all political parties in North Somerset to commit to honest election campaigns which do not seek to mislead the voters who put their trust in us.

The Liberal Democrats, infamous for their dodgy bar charts, also used misleading data in their Clevedon South leaflets. They did the same in the General Election: ❌Their claim: only they could beat the Conservatives ✅Reality: they won just 7,121 votes to Labour’s 19,138.

The Greens tried the same tactic in the Clevedon South by-election last week. We were pleased to win the seat despite their misleading campaign. ❌Their claim: ‘it’s between the Greens and Reform’ ✅The reality: the Greens came fourth, behind Labour, Reform, and the Tories

We were at Nailsea Farmers Market last weekend hearing about local people's views on climate change. We enjoyed hearing which of Labour's environmental policies you liked the most and giving you the opportunity to share any concerns with your local Councillor, Clare Hunt.
