Look at this old picture of Berrington Hall including the bathroom tower, which was demolished in the 1960s. It was built by the 7th Lord Rodney, who's wife Corisande wouldn't move into Berrington Hall until there was adequate plumbing in place. #history #visitherefordshire

Have you ever noticed the lines on #stonework before? These are chiselled into the stone during a process called 'boasting'. We are currently #restoring the stonework at Berrington Hall. Every replaced slab is 'boasted' to make sure it fits in with the rest of the building!
