Boy, that was a strong cold front that moved through, huh? We're in the 40s and 50s now which is 25 to 45 degrees COOLER than it was 24 hours ago. That wind is also still blowing hard this afternoon with gusts around 45 mph for some.

Broken Bow just hit 93 degrees, breaking the all time record high for the month of March. The previous record was 92 degrees set on March 30, 1943! #newx

As of 1 PM CDT, the high temperature in Broken Bow has reached 92 degrees. This shattered the daily record high of 83 degrees set previously in 1997 and 1928. This 92 degree reading also ties the all time record high temperature for March which was set on March 30, 1943. #newx

Check out these temperatures! We have 90s showing up around the region this afternoon. Many places have already broken record highs for today, and some all-time March record highs are next. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for everyone and will remain in effect until 4 a.m.

The cranes know how to beat the heat!

The Grand Island recorded a high temperature of 88 degrees today, and the Hastings recorded a high temperature of 87 degrees today. This breaks the record high temperature for March 20th at both locations. The previous records were set in 1921 (Grand Island) and 1939 (Hastings).
