It’s fuckin heartbreaking. This man gave us everything. Invested in us, the city, the club. You rarely get any of that in football anymore. We scream about loyalty yet we shat on him when he needed us most #NUFC

Still early news on Eddie Howe at this stage but sounds like he wanted to leave on his end at Newcastle United Huge error from the ownership to not replace him at the end of the season, it had naturally felt like Eddie Howe had reached his ceiling after over 4 years #NUFC

@deeprossed All summer I’ve been told we should be replacing Howe with an elite manager, a level above him. Howe has improved a dozen players at this club, got us UCL football in the hardest league in the world twice and a trophy, one bad season and he’s gone. This isnt an attack on Jaissle.

Am I right in thinking that this isn’t what the majority of Newcastle fans want? I know Howe has very vocal critics amongst the fan-base but I got the impression the majority would still have wanted him as manager going forward. Am I wide of the mark?
