Today would’ve been my dad’s 90th birthday. He took me to my 1st match in Jan ‘83 & then we went to virtually every game together til I went away to uni. Luckily managed to get my ST back in 2000 & been going ever since. He died in 2006 from cancer, day before my birthday 1/2

Barcelona fans who went to the St. James' Park for the first leg already highlighted the local welcome, sportsmanship and camaraderie, and in the second leg too respect and cordiality also prevailed over rivalries. Newcastle United Supporters' Club had made a statement saying: "Over 10,000 Newcastle fans are heading to Barcelona. We have an excellent reputation across Europe and we'd love to keep it. Stay together, look out for each other, and have a great time. Everyone likes a drink, but nobody likes a drunk." 2,934 Newcastle fans were able to enter the Spotify Camp Nou, while the rest enjoyed Barcelona and the fan zone set up in the city. The anniversary of #NUFC’s Carabao Cup win will evoke so many individual and personal memories for people. For me, it’s bittersweet. Sharing the moment with my Dad was undoubtedly my greatest memory supporting NUFC. A fitting final chapter in our shared football story. 🖤 🤍
