Lord Justice Egonda Ntende’s powerful parting shot hit hard: Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro locked up on a minor, obscure and unproven charge while his wife Edith Katende Mufumbiro lost her battle with cancer. Their young children had to mourn and bury their mother alone. No child should endure this pain. Justice without compassion is empty; it must have a soul.
Thank you, Lord Justice, for speaking truth.
Rest in peace Edith. 🙏🏽 #JusticeForMufumbiro

Today, I pause to give my brother, Joel Ssenyonyi (@JoelSsenyonyi), MP Nakawa West, his flowers for the way he has carried the responsibility of leading the Opposition in the 11th Parliament of Uganda. In a space often marked by tension and theatrics, he has modelled calm strength, discipline, and integrity.
In a political environment that often rewards noise, his leadership has been steady, disciplined, and grounded in accountability; choosing substance over spectacle, and values over volume. He has led with composure, conviction, and a steady commitment to truth, even when the space for dissent has been tight. Whether one agrees with him or not, it is evident that he has brought coherence, dignity, and a sense of purpose to the role.
As brethren, we celebrate every leader who chooses character over chaos, service over self‑promotion, and justice over convenience. May God continue to raise men and women who lead with courage, compassion, and conviction, and may He continue to strengthen all who stand for truth, justice, and the dignity of citizens.
Dear Joel, may the Lord keep you steadfast and anchored in His calling. May He renew your strength when the work feels heavy, guard your integrity when pressures rise, and surround you with wisdom for every decision. May your leadership continue to reflect the light, truth, and peace of Christ in every space you enter.
AMEN! 🙏🏽
