Today, I pause to give my brother, Joel Ssenyonyi (@JoelSsenyonyi), MP Nakawa West, his flowers for the way he has carried the responsibility of leading the Opposition in the 11th Parliament of Uganda. In a space often marked by tension and theatrics, he has modelled calm strength, discipline, and integrity.
In a political environment that often rewards noise, his leadership has been steady, disciplined, and grounded in accountability; choosing substance over spectacle, and values over volume. He has led with composure, conviction, and a steady commitment to truth, even when the space for dissent has been tight. Whether one agrees with him or not, it is evident that he has brought coherence, dignity, and a sense of purpose to the role.
As brethren, we celebrate every leader who chooses character over chaos, service over self‑promotion, and justice over convenience. May God continue to raise men and women who lead with courage, compassion, and conviction, and may He continue to strengthen all who stand for truth, justice, and the dignity of citizens.
Dear Joel, may the Lord keep you steadfast and anchored in His calling. May He renew your strength when the work feels heavy, guard your integrity when pressures rise, and surround you with wisdom for every decision. May your leadership continue to reflect the light, truth, and peace of Christ in every space you enter.
AMEN! 🙏🏽

Interacted this morning with Mr. Baliza Emmanuel, the father of Baliza William, a young man who was abducted on 10th February and has been missing since. On that day, armed operatives picked him up in a drone, which he says was full of guns, pliers, solido wires, iron bars, etc. He was asked to reveal the whereabouts of his son, or else he faces consequences. He did and was told the young man was posting anti-government content on tiktok. He has since moved everywhere looking for the son without success!
