I might catch some heat in the States for this take, but it's absolutely the right decision to have the World Cup semifinals at 3 p.m. Eastern. Spain and France for a spot in the final should air in prime time in those nations, not from 2 a.m. through 5 a.m. in Europe. That would be absurd. Same for England on Wednesday, while the start time is still in the afternoon for Argentina, where I'm pretty sure it's a national holiday anyway.

@schadjoe Sure… and if the US team won, it wouldn’t be at the time it is. As we know, that didn’t happen so they’re going to make sure as many people from those two countries are able to tune in at a slightly more reasonable hour for them. Plenty of people in the US will watch.
