@NWAngliaFT @NWAngliaRes celebrating #Red4Research a day to wear red in support and appreciation for all those involved and participating in research. Research doesn't happen in isolation and watching this campaign grow globally is fantastic.❤

This week is Dementia Action Week. Around 500,000 people in England live with a diagnosis of dementia and this is expected to grow substantially over the next decade. NIHR research assessed a training programme for carers of people with dementia and found that the course decreased anxiety and depression levels for carers compared with usual care. As well as improving outcomes for carers, a national roll-out of this intervention is estimated to deliver an economic benefit to the nation of £34 million over 10 years. #DementiaActionWeek @beatdementia

Research should be informed by a diversity of public experiences and insights so that it leads to treatments and services that reflect these needs. Find out more about the 'Inclusive Opportunities' standard, and reflect on whether you're meeting it: sites.google.com/nihr.ac.uk/pi-…
