On my way to @NWFED Museums Conference @TheWorldofGlass in St Helens talking about research on the value of museum learning for @gem_heritage. My train's final destination is Blackpool however so there's also a distinct risk I'll miss my stop for some chips on the Pier!

Our last conference speakers are Meg Parnell and Ruth Edson, Learning Managers at Platt Hall. They are telling us about the transformation of the 18th century hall and how the venue has worked with communities to meet local need.

Kicking off the afternoon conference talks is @Mexley88 for @gem_heritage Matt is talking about the value of museum learning and GEM’s findings from a year-long research project into the museum learning sector.

Our next conference speaker is Kate Smith, Youth Participation Officer (North) at English Heritage. She is talking about @eh_shoutoutloud, the organisation’s youth engagement team.

Our conference attendees are now hearing from Meg McHugh, Curatorial Manager and Debbie Walker, Engagement Specialist at Manchester Town Hall about the exciting Our Town Hall project.

Our conference has begun! Following a welcome from @TheWorldofGlass, we’re hearing from Margaret Middleton @magmidd on Queer Museum Narratives and the Family Audience.
