Effective teachers don't focus so much on rules, but on routines and procedures. If you focus on rules, you will spend most of the year enforcing them. But if you focus on routines and procedures, you rarely have to defer back to the rules.

When my career is over… I don’t think I’ll remember test scores or curriculum maps. But I WILL remember some kids, and some teachers… and custodians, and nurses, ans secretaries, and paras, and counselors, and SROs, and CNP workers. It is the people that matter to me.

On some days, you may have students who need you to be their cheerleader more than they need you to be their teacher. It’s important to remember that some students deal with a lot. And always remember the role you can play in helping them get through it.

God will use whoever he wants, to do whatever he wants, however he wants, whenever he wants. No demon in hell, or person on earth has the power to thwart the purpose of God. It’s a comforting thought.

One of the toughest, roughest and most hardnosed coaches in basketball history will have his name placed on the court in one of the Top 5 college arenas in America. Has never been on social media-has 0 tweets 0 facebook-but has a lot of victories. Impacted many, many young men.

A lot of kids don’t like school. That’s the reality. When the adults in the building get to know those kids and genuinely care about them… they can turn that around. That’s also the reality.
