This past Thursday January 9, we had the pleasure of hosting our Heritage Cooking program at təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre alongside community cook Eva Cheng, who instructed the group in making Tangyuan (sweet rice balls). Thank you to Eva!

@SilveryCurls @AliceCavanagh @PJNewWest Hi there @SilveryCurls! This building is no longer around. It was the old 1901 city hall/fire hall, torn down and over time replaced by the post office, the federal building, part a furniture building... and now the police building we now see today.

Thinking about bike lanes in #newwest & pondering why everyone acts as if bikes aren’t something that people have used every day for generations. Thanks to @NWMuseumArchive i found all kinds of pictures proving it’s part of our cultural heritage. Even the May Queens had bikes!
