As we follow the rhythms of the season we began our sunflower planting project. Planting in our garden setting is a proven technique for improving mental health and enhancing attitudes to learning.

Our worm charming championship is well on the way with some sparkling results.✨✨✨

We had a super time making party food and filling party bags, an exciting opportunity to develop independence, curiosity, experimentation and team building skills.

Authentic resources are used with our children to facilitate pupil-led learning and to offer meaningful experiences. Here we are building a giant frame to display our work.

Today we were preparing an Italian Pandoro for our snack at Night Owls, this sweet soft bread was decorated beautifully by our chefs❤️

We cherish every opportunity to build and enjoy friendships through exciting and relevant play scenarios.

A cold day prompted us to make edible snowflakes today …they were delicious 😋

Winter is here …so today we set about making snow globes and they were adorable😊

Every child has unique interests, when we listen to their plans, explore their thinking and follow their ideas they can create wonderful things

We have been making baby owls after reading this lovely book

Making edible fireworks was great fun and delicious

Sensory play that feels and smells divine …our cloud dough was super popular for creating monsters.

Time to plant our autumn/winter bedding plants and our spring flowering bulbs. Our child sized tools , trowels, forks, rakes and watering cans are always popular.

We enjoyed playing with repetitive patterns as we connect with the creative process and let our imagination fly…..

Inspired by the work of @laurentoriginals we created art work on stones using line, shape, space and colour . Our paintings reflected summertime memories.

At Night Owls we engage pupils in art and craft activities which encourage thinking, discovering, exploring and imagining. Our latest creations are these plant pot holders.

Take one hex nut and one balloon…spin the hex nut inside the balloon and enjoy the screeching sound!

From planting the seeds to nurturing the seedlings we are now enthusiastically harvesting our lettuce.
