A man has been arrested in connection with a theft of a JCB from Denbigh. The JCB 3CX was reported stolen from a farm in Llandyrnog on 21/4. We later recovered the machine from Saltney, Flintshire and a 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Rural Crime Team officers have launched a partnership operation targeting off-road bikes being ridden illegally anti-socially in rural areas of Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire. 🔗 orlo.uk/OpeXu @Clwyd_Dee_AONB @NatResWales

During reassurance and targeted patrols in the Llangollen area this week, out team detained three youths seen riding a stolen motorcycle from the Coedpoeth area. One of the youths was also found in possession of cannabis. Police investigations are ongoing.

(1/2) APPEAL - Wild rabbits have been shot in the Bryn Seiri Farm area of Conwy over the past few weeks. It is believed poachers have been entering private land near to residential areas to shoot the rabbits at night - an offence under the Night Poaching Act 1828.

Yesterday we attended an area in Flintshire to support RSPCA and World Horse Welfare colleagues after concerns were raised for the welfare of horses at the location. Following an assessment by an equine vet, three horses were seized and removed under the Animal Welfare Act.

Rural Crime Team PC Ian Nicholls recently attended Eglwysbach Nursery School in Conwy to engage with the next generation of farmers. The children tried on some police uniform and equipment and really enjoyed looking around the police car - especially putting the siren on 🚔.

We are investigating a high value theft of GPS equipment. We received a report that sometime overnight between 12/3 and 13/3, 5 tractors were broken into on a farm in Sontley near Erddig, Wrexham. A number of GPS's on each of the tractors were stolen. Anyone with info📞 101.

When stopping vehicles and trailers , you never know what you will find, today we found this quad bike in the rear of a trailer, It was found to be legitimate and the owner went away with a smartwater pack and sign to protect his quad bike and farm , everyone is happy 😃

@NWPRuralCrime I saw the body of a porpoise on Aberffraw beach maybe three days ago. It was definitely dead and it was complete. Do you want my contact info? It seems to me that no crime was committed.
