Rain is coming down hard here on Stewart Road in LaGrange Georgia (Troup County)

Showers and t-storms are starting to pop up, and will become more widespread this afternoon. Primary hazards will be lightning and localized flash flooding, although gusty winds are also possible. Looking ahead, expect more daily t-storms along with a warming trend! #gawx

⛈️Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected today. 🌧️Storms will produce locally heavy rainfall that may lead to isolated flash flooding, especially in poor-drainage or urban areas. ⚠️Remember to turn around if you encounter any water-covered roadways. #gawx

A band of strong thunderstorms with winds gusting over 40 mph and heavy rain stretching from near Columbus eastward to near Perry and Swainsboro will continue to slowly move to the east. Other storms moving up Wilcox County will merge with this line over the next hour.

4 PM EDT Radar Update. Strong storms continue to push east along I-20 toward Morgan, Greene, and Oglethorpe Counties. Other strong storms are tracking down I-16 through Wilkinson and Twiggs Counties. Additional storms will impact areas south and west of Macon through 5 PM EDT.
