Last week, i carried out field visits in Buwama, Kalungu, Masaka, Lwengo, Lyantonde, Mbarara and Isingiro. I noted great progress towards completion of capital projects, specifically, Kalungu water plant at R. Katonga, water supply improvement project in Lwengo and Kagera WTP.

I learnt of the assassination attempt on His Excellency Donald Trump's life on Saturday, July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. On behalf of the Government and people of Uganda, and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deep and heartfelt sympathies to His Excellency. At the same time, I condemn this despicable and cowardly assassination attempt that put his life and that of his supporters at risk. I also extend my deepest condolences to the family that lost their loved one. As freedom fighters and peace-lovers, we condemn political violence because it threatens democracy wherever it manifests. I wish His Excellency and all those injured a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Today I paid a courtesy visit to the NWSC MD Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha @NWSCMD I applaud his tireless efforts towards service acceleration in Uganda. Furthermore, we discussed #Water4All in Mawogola North, Sembabule Good things are in the pipeline for our people in Mawogola North.

Africa Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) is soon establishing Africa Water and Sanitation Academy (AWASA) in Uganda. The AWASA will be hosted by @nwscug under MWE. The AWASA will be a nodal institution, with core emphasis on leadership development and mindset change.

We have unveiled eight modern toilets in a bid to improve sanitation services across the city. These new facilities were constructed under the Kampala Water-Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation Project (KW-LVWATSAN) implemented by the @nwscug. This project is situated on a legally titled site. The site had to be cleared of huge eucalyptus trees that were seriously degrading the surrounding wetland. The project is clear of NEMA mark stones. All environmental compliance measures were obtained.

After constructive inputs from Rt Hon PM, Minister of Health, Minister of Water and Environment and PSST, @nwscug has agreed to reconnect health facilities on the understanding that a concrete payment plan will be agreed by 30th June 2023. We thank all friends for usual support.

Yesterday, 25-05-2023, was a wonderful day at Kampala Archbishop’s residence where a dinner activity was held, in preparation of H.E Archbishop Augustine Kasujja’s priestly and episcopal jubilee. I thank His Grace Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere for inviting me to officiate the fn.
