Dear friends: I have been following efforts to drag @NWSCMD into certain things! I would like to point to the following facts: I) I have been at @nwsc_ug since for about 32yrs and we have tried to do things administratively right, albeit some gaps.

@jbyarabaha @nwsc_ug We are continuously extending sewer lines, albeit at a slow speed due to high costs. We are focusing on constructing satellite sludge handling facilities in strategic places across the country for septic material. We are doing research on environmental concerns of onsite options

@NWSCMD @nwsc_ug Thank you, Dr., for the good work, especially in the 282 towns and about 100 districts serving millions of people. Is there a plan to extend the sewer lines and treatment plants in urban areas?

@KhanAlih22649 @nwsc_ug We are aware of the issue of hard water from the old plant that gets water from Kakyeera swamp. We already have design plans to shift abstraction to the open waters of L. Kakyeera where the Kiruhura Water Works is located (about 4kms away), but civil works are quite expensive!

@NWSCMD @nwsc_ug Lyantonde water is the worst in the country. Stinking, salty and on and off.we are entering the dry season,During day time we dont get water ,it's supplied to the rich people farms for their cows,we wait for it at night,some times we spend days without water.please

@emunduga @Beinomugis2Musa We have different companies supplying chemicals to NWSC. The major ones are Pan Africa Chemicals Ltd, Junako Ltd, Tesla Chemicals Ltd and Oriental. These companies were sourced through open bidding and best evaluated bidders signed framework contracts with NWSC.

@denno256 Not really! The billing cycle is structured and based on monthly billing routine. The billing and attendant digital solutions were designed by our staff. We advise you to pay bills as and when you receive notification

@NWSCMD I don't understand how the only relationship you have with your clients is to threaten to cut water, with no regard to the amount of the bill and no structured billing cycle. Why don't you implement prepaid meters.

@Humura2x @amronaldo We recently advertised for 40 technical (engineers and WQ staff). The process is merit-based. Everything we do, follows provisions of the HR Manual

@amronaldo And he recruits employees through political brokers,no adverts ,no clear qualifications. Even teachers are recruited .

The Board of Directors of NWSC interviewed you for that position, and you came second to Mr. Alex Gasagara. Then until the intervention of Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu (you hail from the same area), sent both of you to be interviewed by the Public Service Commission which is a body far removed from the day‑to‑day operations of @nwscug and its main mandate is to interview main stream civil servants. Then miraculously you won and was appointed.

@kabriboy @jkmiguellon @nwsc_ug That is not a problem. We are currently implementing a big infrastructure project that will rationalize water distribution from Katosi water system to N-E parts of Kampala, including boosting Matugga water system.

@ShanitaAnkunda @nwsc_ug We are currently carrying out a big intervention on Shuuku Water system that will lead to water supply improvement for Sheema Municipality. This will be in addition to current supply arrangements from Bushenyi and Kitagata. This followed a request from Hon Katesh.

@NWSCMD @nwsc_ug Noooo you didn't do enough, in kanyinasheema kagango sheema municipality water appears once a month. Now tell me why we decided to bring tapped water in our homes if we can't receive the water. Total nonsense 🫴🚮

@jkmiguellon @nwsc_ug That corridor is water stressed because of inadequate water supply from Entebbe. We are currently operating a rationed water supply regime, which is sub-optimal. We have concluded plans to install a new water plant at Nakawuka, which will boost supply soon.

@NWSCMD @nwsc_ug We have noted. But how comes places like Kitende on Entebbe road, supply of water is a luxury? Don't you have a budget for that area of your team forgot about it?

6) we assure the public that our offices remain open for accountability. We are currently focusing on creating improved customer experiences. We only request to be given space to reflect on serving Ugandans rather than trying to divert us to non-productive “things”.

5) we have learned that the main motivation behind those trying to drag the @NWSCMD in all this, is political maneuvering in Bushenyi. We thank NRM Chairman Hasan Basajjabalaba that has been working hard to bring peace. There is also an element of need to monetary incentives.

Last week, i carried out field visits in Buwama, Kalungu, Masaka, Lwengo, Lyantonde, Mbarara and Isingiro. I noted great progress towards completion of capital projects, specifically, Kalungu water plant at R. Katonga, water supply improvement project in Lwengo and Kagera WTP.
