There is a chance for spotty showers pre-dawn through late Thursday morning. Otherwise the warming trend continues tomorrow with temps expected by the end of the week flirting with the 60s and even locally 70s! Though cooler conditions are expected near the Lake. #ILwx #INwx

A clipper system will drop a coating of snow tonight through Wednesday morning. Another clipper may bring rain showers on Thursday. Then, temperatures will warm into the weekend. Note that a few backdoor cold fronts may keep lakeshore locations cooler. #ILwx #INwx

We've picked up 1.6" in 30 minutes at our office. Travel conditions are hazardous beneath this narrow band of snow! Based on radar trends, it should slowly weaken from this point forward with the intense snow rates ending by 3:15 AM.

A very narrow band of snow is leading to low visibility (<1/2 of a mile) and quick accumulations of snow (1"/30 min), especially across Naperville, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, and Lockport. If you're out and about in the statement area, prepare for rapidly changing conditions!

Blowing and drifting snow will continue to reduce visibility to a few hundred feet in open areas, particularly along north-south roadways where snow will likely drift back onto the road leading to hazardous travel. Isolated snow showers are also expected this evening. #ilwx #inwx
