Tropical Depression Two has forms in the NE Gulf. Gradual strengthening is forecast, with tropical storm conditions possible along parts of the Florida Panhandle by Monday. Interests along the TX coast should monitor this system closely.

NHC will initiate advisories on Tropical Depression Two (formerly AL91) located over the northeastern Gulf of America, at 1100 AM EDT (1500 UTC).

Flood Update: Rio Grande levels have crested near 28 ft at Columbia Bridge, with Laredo cresting near 20 ft later today. Nueces at Cotulla reaches flood stage Mon, major Wed. Frio at Tilden reaches minor Mon, major Tue. Stay alert and monitor updates.

Today will be a tad warmer with triple digits over the Brush Country, with widespread heat indices 100-110°F. SE Winds 5-15 mph with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Very warm and rain-free conditions are expected through the work week.

@Sebasti10722808 We have not heard any indication of this. Any closures will be communicated by the City of Laredo and as such, we would recommend following their social media accounts for all the latest updates regarding the latest bridge operation status.

Upstream flow has made it to Columbia Bridge along the Rio Grande and will soon start rising in Laredo. Nearing major flood stage of 30 feet for Columbia Bridge late tonight. Major flooding is also expected later along the Nueces River at Cotulla, and close at Tilden on the Frio.

Based on the crest observed at El Indio this morning, the Columbia Bridge forecast has increased to around 32 ft (Major Flood Stage), with rises expected in Laredo soon. Major flooding is also expected along the Nueces at Cotulla and the Frio at Tilden. Stay informed!

Warm and rain-free today over South Texas with temperatures climbing to around 100 over the Rio Grande Plains. Southeasterly winds of 10-20 mph this afternoon will weaken tonight. Warm and rain-free conditions will persist into the middle of next week.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies today with warmer temperatures as highs near 100°F around the Rio Grande. Heat indices ranging 100-105°F. Breezy SE winds this afternoon will weaken a bit tonight. Rain-free and very warm conditions will persist into the middle of next week.

Low rain chances will continue today and out west tonight as above normal moisture continues. Heat indices reach the triple digits this afternoon with lows struggling to get into the mid 70s. Drier and warmer conditions are expected this weekend into early next week.
