Not much change to the forecast. Warm and humid conditions will continue through Friday, but a weak cold front will move through late Friday with slightly cooler temperatures for the weekend. Low end rain chances return to the forecast next week as the front lifts back north.

Wind speeds over the next few days will be generally light. However, Saturday afternoon's could bring conditions conducive to a rapid spread in wildland fires as relative humidity drops into the 30s and wind gusts increase into the middle and upper teens.

90 and 120 day rainfall deficits range from 2 to 18 inches across southeast Texas and much of southern and central Louisiana.
