Showers & some isolated thunderstorms have started to develop over the northeastern Olympic peninsula this evening. Showers will increase across the area over the next several hours & isolated thunderstorms will remain possible tonight. When thunder roars, go indoors! #wawx

Onshore flow has kept low stratus over Western Washington today, resulting in temperatures trending on the cooler side today in the mid to upper 50s. #WAwx

No new records tonight (despite inland areas reaching around 80 today). The pattern returns to onshore tonight (with stratus pushing in from the coast). Temperatures this week will slightly cool off with various mixes of clouds and sun. #wawx

🌡️ Very warm temperatures are expected today across Western Washington, with many locations in the 80s by this afternoon. However, water temperatures still remain cold, with most lakes and rivers still in the 40s and 50s. Always wear a life jacket in & around the water! #WAwx

With warm temps this weekend in the 70s to low 80s, remember that while the air is warm, the water is not! River and lake temperatures range in the low 40s to mid 50s. Ocean temperatures hover around 50 degrees. Below are some tips to stay safe around cold water. #wawx

Cool "meso low" feature spinning offshore with a lot of the cloud coverage in place this afternoon. The cloud coverage is beginning to clear up north this afternoon. The clear area will expand southward this afternoon and evening. #wawx

6:15 AM Radar: Got a few rain/snow showers in the central Cascades Foothills, moving southward. Showers and low clouds will dissipate through the morning. Temperatures will warm up into the mid/upper 50s for the lowlands. #wawx

A waterspout was observed over Puget Sound this afternoon at approximately 300 PM. The waterspout was short lived and occurred approximately 3 miles west of Magnolia. #WAwx
