After a first round of rain showers during the late AM and early afternoon, an approaching cold front will likely produce a broken line of thunderstorms across parts of central & western PA late Fri afternoon and into the evening. The strongest storms are expected in SW PA.

It will be a rather benign weather day. The most notable things for Central PA: Lots of (thin) high-altitude clouds and a dry air (humidity as low as 30 percent today).

735 PM Tuesday March 17th, 2026: Gusty snow showers will taper off this evening. After a cold night, temperatures on Wednesday will be a bit warmer, with less wind and more in the way of sunshine.

A snow squall warning is in effect until 4:15 PM EDT for I-80, US-219, US-322 near DuBois, PA and US-322 near Clearfield, PA.

Flooded roadways are dangerous at day, but even more dangerous at night. More than 50% of all flood fatalities are vehicle-related. You never know how deep the water is or if the road has been washed away or compromised beneath the water. #TurnAroundDontDrown #FloodSafetyPA
