We just never got to see it. Melo couldn’t get it done. He had ENOUGH to get past the pacers that year.

If you think Melo didn’t succeed bc of the roster he was given don’t forget he forced a trade to NY and depleted the roster. Was envious of linsanity, and also had a roster built to beat the heat in 2013 but couldn’t get past the pacers if you don’t remember very well he was stuffed at the rim by Roy Hibbert. The rest is history. This love for Melo by certain Knicks fans is getting to be absurd.

@JCMacriNBA I hated Jeffries with a passion, but after he gave it 150% vs KG as Melo’s only help in ‘11 vs Boston, I had respect for him. Melo’s playoff lineups in NY would’ve had LeBron fans committing self harm had that been his lineups. People really forget prigioni started playoff games

@NBA_NewYork Tbf he deserved some credit for the cup win, but he was really bad until game 4 of the Atlanta series. Then he became a great coach that we all imagined him to be once he involved KAT. We won’t be fake and say Mike wasn’t fit to lead, but we knew he could be better 100%
