Yesterday's senior citizen spring dinner/dance hosted by @marg_csd was a huge success! NYSIR was pleased to help sponsor the event, which gives area seniors the chance to connect with each other and interact with student volunteers. The 2026 theme was Luau.

Michael Murdock, NYSIR senior vice president, claims, was one of the expert presenters at last week's NYSIR Symposium titled "Out of Harm's Way - Stopping Child Sexual Abuse in Schools."

NYSIR Foundation President Joseph Goncalves presented the Paul Jensen Memorial Scholarship grand prize (left) and Treasurer Robert Bambino awarded the Cristin Ann Bambino Memorial Scholarship grand prize during NYSIR's recent annual meeting.

Regional Manager David Barreras appeared at two events in the lower Hudson Valley recently. On May 28 he awarded a Cristin Ann Bambino Memorial Award regional prize to a Carmel HS student, and on June 2 he attended the WPSBA annual meeting in Pleasantville.

Our own Adriana Melittas (back, right) attended the Suffolk County Valedictorian Lunch at Villa Lombardi in Holbrook on May 29. The student shown is the valedictorian from Bridgehampton High School. Congratulations to all!
