NYSSSA gives high school students the opportunity to develop their talents in ballet, choral studies, modern dance, visual arts, media arts, orchestral studies, or theatre. Due to fiscal challenges and other factors, the NYSSSA program will not be offered in summer 2022.

In its 2022-2023 Non-State Aid Budget and Legislative Priorities, the Board of Regents included a $2 million annual request for new state funding to ensure NYSSSA continues to be available to New York students in 2023-2024 and beyond. bit.ly/3tTwUaA @NYSEDNews
