Today's public hearing makes it clear - the most viable path toward ensuring NYers have an affordable life is by taxing corporations & the rich their fair share. They became this wealthy because of the labor of working-class NYers. It’s only right that they finally give back.

This week in Albany, Team Reyes met with medical leaders, advocates, and higher ed partners to discuss key priorities in healthcare, housing, and education.

These photos were from a rally, organized by my colleague @tonysimone, that we had calling out ICE at 26 Federal Plaza after the murder of Rachel Nicole Good in Minneapolis, just 3 short weeks ago. We must act now!

I will not rest until we pass my New York for All Act w/ @Sen_Gounardes. We need other critical bills + initiatives like the MELT Act to be passed in conjunction, to restrain the rouge actions of ICE + it’s designees. Too many lives are stake for NY to continue the status quo.

ICE’s actions, in Minnesota, NYC and across the country, are allowing innocent people to be exposed to unnecessary violence and death. ICE is a rogue agency that must be checked, in order for New Yorkers to be protected. Regardless of their status.

The events in Minneapolis this weekend have been truly distressing to witness and reflect on. I am truly heartbroken and enraged by the tragic murder of Alexis Pretti, a fellow nurse that sought to help people at the bedside and out in the streets of his local community.
