Introducing Burnett Foundation Aotearoa.
We’re really proud to carry the name of one of the brave people who started it all. HIV is still the core of our work and we are here to serve.
We'll no longer be active here – follow @BurnettAotearoa for more.
We still retain the same vision, mission and values. HIV will always be at the core of our work.

The natural progression of this focus was to name the organisation after one of its founders. The incredible Bruce Burnett.
A figure whom some of you may be aware of, but unfortunately, the majority of people aren’t yet.
We hope our new name will be a part of changing that.
This journey has been a long one and one driven by consultation, our core values, and the need to ensure we had a name that was fit for our purpose.
Follow this thread as we answer some FAQs about our new name.
HIV will remain at the core of what we do, but we know other health issues intersect with, and impact, vulnerability to HIV. A new name supports a more holistic approach as we continue to work towards ending new local HIV transmissions and support people living with HIV
The World’s first HIV positive sperm bank has opened in hopes that stigma around the life-altering disease would be reduced.
