The “Zubimendi is just fatigue” crowd are in for a serious reality check next season. He’s already lost his place to MLS who provides the missing qualities in Arsenal’s midfield and complements Rice perfectly, if Matues Fernandes or Wharton joins, it’s curtains for him.
I won’t be surprised if he has Merino-like role change, and gets shifted closer to the box or gets sold.

I’m tired of explaining why Gabriel made the nomination list over Saliba even though both have been absolutely phenomenal.
But awards are about impact, and Gabriel has been more influential. He has direct impacts on the outcomes of games in both boxes, from winning matches with goals to saving matches with blocks in his own box.
No other defender in the Premier League has his level of direct influence on match outcomes.
