It's really good to see this investment in neighbourhood policing. Nearly a third of people who responded to our survey told us they lack a feeling of safety. It's especially important for younger people; they are the age group least likely to feel safe in their neighbourhoods.

We were delighted to host @DianaJohnsonMP, @ukhomeoffice Minister for Policing, Fire and Crime Prevention at Neighbourhood Watch HQ. She spoke to our brilliant volunteers about community policing and local concerns. It was great to share the brilliant work our volunteers do.

Today I ventured to London representing @N_Watch Youth Council meeting Dame @DianaJohnsonMP (MP for Kingston upon Hull and Minister of State for Crime, Policing and Fire at the Home Office). A pleasure to meet Coordinators from London, NWN Staff and NWN CEO John Hayward-Cripps.

It was a real pleasure to meet @N_Watch volunteers and hear how they are working together with local communities to help stop crime. The public want to see their local police engaging with the community and that’s why we will put 13,000 new neighbourhood officers on our streets.
