Throughout my administration, I have emphasized the critical need to reform our healthcare system and robustly improve service delivery for the benefit of our people. To this end, we have worked closely with various development partners, including an essential collaboration with the national government. Consequently, this morning at Ngoswani in the Majimoto-Naroosara Ward of Narok South, I commissioned the new Hawthorn Institute of Nursing and Health Centre. This facility is an initiative of the New Frontiers Health Force; led by Dr. Tonya of the United States and Moseka Sayialel; in partnership with the local community and the county government. It is our sincere hope that this collaborative effort will significantly bridge existing healthcare gaps. Asante Sana.

STATEMENT BY H.E. HON. PATRICK OLE NTUTU, EGH, GOVERNOR, NAROK COUNTY Fellow residents of Narok County, The 8th day of May 2026 marks a historic milestone for our County, following the judgment delivered today by the Court of Appeal sitting in Nakuru in Civil Appeal No. NAK E05of 2025. Following the earlier judgment of the Environment and Land Court delivered on 6th March 2025, we promptly assembled a formidable legal team led by Senior Counsel Paul Muite, SC, alongside our County Attorney. This team successfully challenged the previous Judgement leading the Court of Appeal to set aside the entire decision. Today, the Court of Appeal agreed with our position and proceeded to set aside the judgement of the court in its entirety. On behalf of the County Government and the people of Narok, justice has been served. By setting aside the judgment of the Environment and Land Court (C. Mbogo, J.) delivered on 6th March 2025 in ELC Case No. 21 of 2021, the court has effectively restored the parcel of land known as Cis-Mara/Talek/155 to the people of Narok. In its comprehensive 56-page judgment, the Court of Appeal granted various orders returning the said parcel of land to the County Government of Narok and directing that the matter be remitted to the Environment and Land Court for a fresh hearing and determination. I welcome this judgment. I remain steadfast in my commitment to safeguarding the public interest, as pledged when I first announced our intent to appeal. This landmark decision vindicates our resolve and secures our land for the benefit of the community and its posterity. We shall continue to protect the heritage and resources of Narok county through all available lawful means. I extend my gratitude to our legal team led by SC Paul Mwite and my County Attorney Allan Meingati for their unwavering dedication and to the resilient people of Narok for their continued support through this journey Thank you, and God bless Narok County. During the Inaugural County Prayer Breakfast 2026 held at the County Headquarters today, I officially received and welcomed 133 newly recruited officers into the County Public Service. The officers were issued with their appointment letters today, having been drawn from all 30 wards across the County; an affirmation of my administration’s commitment to inclusivity and equity in public service. In the coming weeks, my administration will commence the recruitment of 260 health workers, a critical initiative aimed at further strengthening service delivery across Narok County. Additionally, later this year, the County Government will undertake the recruitment of Village Administrators, 200 ECDE tutors, and 180 County Rangers as part of our broader efforts to enhance service delivery and build institutional capacity.

This morning, at the Narok County headquarters, welcomed the clergy, led by the Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit for the annual County Prayer Breakfast.

I have two Gen Z sisters who are in campus. Since the current continuous voter registration exercise started, they haven't bothered visiting a registration booth. This morning, they texted me to say their cooking gas was finished. I asked them if they had made an effort to register as voters, and their reply was no. I told them that I would only refill their cooking gas after they register. I am happy to report that both of them have registered.
